The Full Story
Having resided in three diverse states, I consistently observed a prevalent issue—the absence of proper representation for English Language Learners (ELLs) within the Catholic School system. Throughout my journey, I encountered disheartening instances that sparked deep reflection on the emotional well-being of these students. Motivated by these experiences, I pursued and obtained a master's degree in education. My commitment to transforming the narrative for ELLs was solidified as I delved into research, culminating in my senior thesis on the impact of physical manipulatives on mathematical acquisition in ELL students. This academic endeavor fueled my determination to bridge the gaps and create a more inclusive and supportive educational environment for English Language Learners.
